FOIE GRAS: JEAN-PIERRE'S SELECTION

 

This is an exception for Provence Shop....Our foie gras does not come from Provence, but from Perigord..Some people make some foie gras in Provence, but the traditional region for this product is Perigord, and we wnated THE BEST... And to tell you the truth, it is made by our cousin, Jean-Pierre.

The whole Foies gras


Is made with a complete liver. It comes in a glass jar

Preservation :

Foie Gras or Blocs de Foie Gras : Up to 6 months when they are in metal cans or glass, some weeks when vacuum packed.

Our recommendations

Get it out from the fridge 20 minutes before eating it, but slice it at the last minute.
Use a very sharp toothless knife that you will swipe for each cut.
The best bread is the simple bread (pain de campagne, tuscan leaf, or baguette) slightly grilled
If you wish something around, try the figs, or caramelized apple slices, or grapes

About the wine, you have several possibilities
A soft white wine: Sauternes, Monbazillac, Jurançon, Vendanges tardives d'Alsace, etc...
A dry white wine: Burgundy, Côtes de Beaune, Champagne
A red wine: Médoc (Margaux, Pauillac), or Madiran or Cahors
